• It is almost unlikely for Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to catch the total goals of the top women's international scorers, even if they continue to play well into their 40s.

The best female scorer in women's international football, as well as overall, is Christine Sinclair of Canada, who has scored an astounding 190 goals in 317 games over the course of 22 years.



Abby Wambach, a legendary member of the USWNT who retired back in 2015, is six goals behind her. Although everyone but Alex Morgan have retired, the top 10 is dominated by talents from the USA, who account for half of the list.
