Women Africa Cup of Nations 2016 (Afcon 2016) is the 9th edition officially nations league conducted by Confederation of Africa Football (CAF).

This Tournament started by CAF in 1998 for the first time to encourage the football in African Women's. 

Nigeria has the dominant position in women Afcon by Winning the most titles of Women AFCON 7 times through its Inauguration. 

Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa have participated in its every edition from its start in 1998.
