PFA Player of the Year Award – Past winner Lists since 1974.
- Kevin De Bruyne became the first Man City player to win the PFA Player of the Year award second straight Year after his exceptional performances in 2020-21.
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne beat a clutch of Liverpool’s Premier League title winners to be named the PFA Player of the Year for 2019-20.
Van Dijk claimed the award last season and in doing so became the first defender to win it since John Terry in 2005, while Salah won it in 2018 following a sensational debut campaign with Liverpool.
Since the award was launched for the 1973-74 season, only Mark Hughes, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have won it more than once.
