Which Eight Bundesliga teams to play European football in 2022-23 season.

Eight of the Bundesliga's 18 clubs will be playing European football next season, after Eintracht Frankfurt won the 2021/22 Europa League.



UEFA Champions League

• Bayern Munich qualify as Bundesliga champions, with runners-up Borussia Dortmund, third-placed Bayer Leverkusen and fourth-in-the-table RB Leipzig joining them.

Frankfurt's Europa League champions means the Bundesliga will have five teams in the Champions League groups for the first time.



UEFA Europa League/ UEFA Europa Conference League



Leipzig DFB Cup Winners and runner-up Freiburg of this season's had already assured of top-six finishes, the team that finished sixth receives the second Europa League group berth.

• Seventh gets a shot at the Europa Conference League play-offs.

• In practice, that means Union Berlin and Freiburg - fifth and sixth respectively - will play Europa League football in 2022/23. Seventh-placed Cologne go into the Europa Conference League play-offs.
