Champions League match: Bayern Munich vs FC Barcelona fixtures to be played behind closed doors.






It is now official: Bayern Munich v FC Barcelona  clash in Champions League match fixture will be played behind closed doors. 


The game corresponding to Match Day Six in the Champions League will be played on Wednesday, December 8, without fans in the stadium due to the serious increase in coronavirus cases in the German region of Bavaria in the last few weeks. 


Xavi Hernández's team will be playing for a place in the last 16 of the competition. If the blaugranes can win in  Munich then they will be though to the knock out stages of the competition no matter what happens in the group's other fixture between Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv in Lisbon. 


What's has been said by Bavarian state government about foorball match fixtures in a press conference today, Friday, Dec.2. 



 The Bavarian state government passed today, Friday, a tightening of the measures adopted at the federal level on December 2 to contain the corona pandemic. Accordingly, no spectators are allowed in the Free State of Bavaria at major national sporting events until the end of the year.



The last time Barça travelled to the Allianz Arena in Munich in 2015, the blaugranes lost 3-2 in the semi-final of the competition but still went through to the final in Berlin.
