Manchester City: Foden and Grealish doubts, De Bruyne unavailable tests positive for Covid-19.

Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne has tested positive for Covid-19 on his return from international duty. 

The 30-year-old will isolate for 10 days, meaning he will miss Sunday's Premier League match at home to Everton and Wednesday's Champions League game against Paris St-Germain.

 Pep Guardiola is also expecting to be without Jack Grealish, who left the England camp early after picking up an injury ahead of their game against San Marino, whilst Phil Foden is a doubt having returned to the City Football Academy with a leg problem.

 “Jack is getting better after he went to the national team,”  

“Phil Foden came back with a knock and a problem in his leg, but he is getting better and, unfortunately, Kevin got positive COVID test in Belgium and needs ten days. 

“Jack, I don’t think [will be available]. Phil, we will see.”

 “He is positive. He has to recover well and try and be healthy. The human being is more important that anything else. 

“[We have to] be careful because people are still dying. He was vaccinated, so he is more protected. Hopefully his symptoms will be minor.

 “It isn’t about our rhythm, we want him to be well.”
